In another bad turn of events, this time in the collecting world, Hasbro has sent word to distributors that they will halt open preorders/backorders for the 40th Anniversary Black Series Wave 1.
This comes to us from the guys over at Yakface.com:
” …open preorders/backorders for the 40th Anniversary Collection wave 1 (consisting of Han, Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan and R2-D2) will not be fulfilled as the wave has reached out of production status.”
Now, I read on the comments section that the Entertainment Earth Han Solo and R2-D2s that are supposed to arrive in October should be fine and I’m crossing fingers on both hands that this is true!
This particular wave of figures has been a difficult one for Star Wars collectors over the last few months with distribution problems left and right, damaged orders and scalpers taking advantage every step of the way.

I guess the mass panic to pick up the remaining figures is underway. Let the scalping begin!
